mens cologne

Sometime during the middle of the night I stumbled into the bathroom and tripped over the rug in the floor. When I did, I fell against the bath tub, and luckily I was able to catch myself before my face crashed into the tub. I had the light out, so it was dark, but I knew any major disaster had been diverted simply by me not falling. I finished my business in the dark and off to bed I went.

Sometime after daylight, I was dreaming that I smelled mens cologne. The smell was so strong that I felt like I was suffocating. It was weird. I woke up, and the odd thing was, I still smelled mens cologne. I looked at the other side of the bed for my husband, thinking he had come back to bed wearing mens cologne, and remembered that he wasn't even in town. At first, I thought that I must be dreaming, but as I lay there in bed, the overpowering scent of the mens cologne lingered and I found myself curious. My mind started racing, wondering if someone had broke into the house and that they were wearing mens cologne, and then I realized just how ridiculous I would sound to anyone who could hear me.

I got out of bed and wandered into the bathroom where the smell of mens cologne was so strong that I immediately began sneezing. I flipped on the light switch and then felt something wet on the rug below my feet. I looked down, and there was my husband’s mens cologne bottle lying on the floor with the lid beside it. I picked up the bottle of mens cologne, but it was empty, and then I realized that last night when I stumbled over the rug and fell, that I somehow must have knocked the bottle over and the lid fell off. The mens cologne spilled all over the rug, which is where it stayed until I discovered it.

Before my sneezing fit got any worse, I grabbed the rug and tossed it in the washing machine in hopes that it would take the overpowering scent of the cologne out. Don't get me wrong, I love my husband’s favorite mens cologne, but not when an entire bottle is laying on my bathroom floor.
