This morning I thought I lost my 14k gold ring in the grass and I didn’t think I would ever find it.  I was out this morning walking the dog and tossing the ball back and forth with him a little, when I noticed that my 14k gold ring wasn’t on my pinky. I knew that it had gotten a little big and with the cold weather it was even bigger on my finger. I looked all around in the grass where I had been standing with the dog, but no 14k gold ring.  I was devastated.  My husband had given me that ring not long after we married to say how much he loved me.  He said if I ever doubted how he felt about me, to look at the 14k gold ring and that I would know. It had such great sentimental value I couldn’t imagine not having it any longer.  I cried for what seemed like hours and looked all through the grass, but nothing.    Eventually I came home and decided to pull the laundry out of the washer, and when I was pulling laundry out of the washer, my ring fell onto the floor!  I think it must have slipped off my finger when I was adding wash to the washer this morning.  Thank goodness my 14k gold ring wasn’t lost for good. I put it away and probably won’t wear it again until I have it resized. I learned my lesson.
